Darke County Parks is happy to be a part of "Lights Out Miami Valley" and you can help too! Beginning now and through May 31 you can help thousands of migrating birds safely reach their breeding grounds by doing the following between midnight and dawn:

  • Limit exterior lighting
  • Turn off lights when you leave a room
  • Close blinds or curtain when lights are on

These simple steps by building and home owners can help protect millions of birds each year.
