Naturalist Intern | Position Description

Duties include participation in a full range of tasks associated with the natural and cultural history programming, organization of summer day-camps on a variety of subjects, environmental education/interpretation, general maintenance, and operation of the Nature Education Center, Bish Discovery Center and other park areas.

Naturalist Educator (Seasonal Part-Time) | Position Description

Develops and leads a variety of natural, cultural, and outdoor recreation activities for summer camps. This position requires weekend hours on occasion pursuant to department needs.
Salary Range: $14.00/hr - starting rate based on prior experience and education
Maintenance Operations Technician - Seasonal | Position Description

Maintenance Operation Technicians are responsible for performing general and routine labor tasks in the upkeep of the Park District’s facilities, grounds, nature center, buildings, tools, vehicles, and equipment. Close interaction with the other departments is required regularly to ensure all departments can meet the public’s needs. This position requires one weekend day in the regular schedule (typical workweek, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) pursuant to department needs.
Salary Range: $12.00/hr - $15/hr starting rate based on prior experience and education

Performs elements of park grounds, building maintenance, and boat transport. Maintenance Operation Technicians are responsible for performing general and routine labor tasks in the upkeep of the Park District’s facilities, grounds, nature center, buildings, tools, vehicles, and equipment. Close interaction with the other departments is required regularly to ensure all departments can meet the public’s needs. This position requires at least one weekend day in the regular schedule (typical workweek, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) pursuant to department needs.

Volunteer Coordinator / Gift Shop Manager | Position Description

Serve as the main liaison between the volunteers and the staff of Darke County Park District. Actively recruit, train and schedule the volunteer department. Act as the gift shop store manager and training of volunteers in running the gift shop point of sale system.
Salary Range: $13.50/hr - starting rate based on prior experience and education
