It's our 50th Anniversary!

Darke County Park District is celebrating 50 years of preservation, conservation and education.  The Park District was founded in 1972 with Coppess Nature Sanctuary being the catalyst for the creation of the park system.  Over the years, Darke County Parks has expanded to over 14 parks and a multi-use paved trail.   Park staff and volunteers continue to host school programs, field trips, workshops, citizen science, habitat management and historical events.  We have a full slate of celebrations planned throughout 2022 including special events, 50th anniversary swag, new trails, community partnerships and more.  Keep an eye on our website for upcoming programs and events all year long! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
