The air is crisp, and mosquitoes are a thing of the past. It’s time to hike! Autumn can provide the best time to get out of doors, and we have a variety of walking programs to offer. In early September, we’ll explore the stunning colors of the fall-blooming asters and goldenrods. Join us in October as we search for the uniquely-beautiful Bottled Gentian flowers at Shawnee Prairie’s prairie. Finally, full moon hikes will return in October and November. (Dress for cooler nights and bring a flashlight if you would like.) Call the Nature Center for questions and weather updates.
