Teacher Workshop: Send a Monarch to Mexico

The Symbolic Monarch symbolizes the gift of goodwill that each country must contribute to ensure the survival of this shared natural resource.  In 2015, 1,836 classrooms, including 60,000 students in Canada, the United States, and Mexico took part in the ambassador butterfly migration.  Darke County Parks invites teachers to participate in the global conservation effort of the iconic Monarch Butterfly.  Join Mandy for an afternoon highlighting how the program works and how to get involved.  We’ll also begin scheduling naturalist classroom visits to start your class on this magnificent symbolic journey.
