Club Activities
Friends of the Parks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, promoting and enhancing Darke County Parks. The Friends hold monthly meetings, and encourage all to join them in their community building efforts.

Membership to the Darke County Birders Club is open to all regardless of experience. In addition to the monthly meetings and programs, scheduled field trips can range from half-day local outings to overnight events in Canada, The Wilds, or Crane Creek.

The Dark County Canoe and Kayak Club is open to experienced paddlers, however beginners are encouraged to learn through the Park's canoeing programs. River and lake floats are scheduled monthly with hiking trips planned during the off-season.

The Darke County Photography Club is open to all that are interested in photography in any of its forms, regardless of experience. In addition to monthly meetings, the club sponsors guest speakers; educational seminars; photo field trips and photo competitions (optional participation).

Prairie Ridge Meadow Renovations

Prairie Ridge Meadow Park and Parking area, as well as the trail north from the trestle bridge, will be re-opened beginning Friday, July 30, 2010 after approximately three weeks for renovations. Thanks for your cooperation.
