Club Activities
Friends of the Parks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, promoting and enhancing Darke County Parks. The Friends hold monthly meetings, and encourage all to join them in their community building efforts.

Membership to the Darke County Birders Club is open to all regardless of experience. In addition to the monthly meetings and programs, scheduled field trips can range from half-day local outings to overnight events in Canada, The Wilds, or Crane Creek.

The Dark County Canoe and Kayak Club is open to experienced paddlers, however beginners are encouraged to learn through the Park's canoeing programs. River and lake floats are scheduled monthly with hiking trips planned during the off-season.

The Darke County Photography Club is open to all that are interested in photography in any of its forms, regardless of experience. In addition to monthly meetings, the club sponsors guest speakers; educational seminars; photo field trips and photo competitions (optional participation).

DCPD Board Meeting

The Darke County Park District Board of Commissioners will hold a regular meeting on May 9 at 5:30p at the Nature Center. Public is welcome.
Memorial Day - NC Closed

The Nature Center and Park Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day. All trails will remain open Dawn-Dusk.
